Hello P-assengers, we’re back again on PIDAS81’s weekly article. Don’t forget to keep healthy, okay! Now, we will talk about chronotypes. So, what is the definition of chronotypes? Chronotype is a classification of the body to sleep and productivity schedule at a certain type. Our bodies have their own biological clock. Chronotype is related to our body’s circadian rhythm, which controls our body’s sleep-wake cycle and melatonin production.
There are 4 Chronotypes:
- Lion
This type is like “early to bed, early to rise”. People of this type are most productive in the morning. The “lions” usually can’t stay energetic through the afternoon and evening.
- Dolphin
This dolphin type may have a regular bedtime routine, but it can also be difficult to sleep. People with the dolphin chronotype are the hardest to create a set schedule around. They tend to be very intelligent, but also high-strung
- Bear
People with the bear type are the most common type in society. Bear type are very productive in the morning, but less productive in the afternoon. Usually a person of this type is an extrovert
- Wolf
Wolf types are most productive at night. They often go to bed at midnight to increase their creativity. Usually a person of this type is an introvert.
Knowing our chronotype will help us to divide our work hours and our rest/sleep hours. In addition, we can also maximize our productive hours to produce brilliant ideas.
