When fasting it is highly recommended to eat sweet foods, such as dates. Apart from being one of the favorite fruits of the Prophet, dates also have many benefits. What are the benefits of dates?   1. Good content for fasting

Dates have high fiber content, in a range of 60 to 70 percent sugar. This content makes dates very popular, especially in the month of fasting. Because when fasting our bodies become weaker than usual, consuming dates will restore the energy lost during fasting.

  1. Dates are the most durable fruit

Unlike other fruits, dates have a much longer shelf life. Dried dates last for 3 months at room temperature, if put in the refrigerator can last for 1 year. Wow, it’s a long time, isn’t it?

  1. Dates have many unique variations

There are so many types of dates. As reported by IDNTimes, dates in Saudi Arabia have 400 types. The most famous in Indonesia, among others; ajwa, medjool, sukkari, khalas, bam, safawi, and palm fruit.
