Hi P-assengers! How was your day? We hope it was delightful and shining just like how you are. Today’s topic is about anti-heroe and anti-villain. Does it sound familiar? Maybe some of you have heard about anti-hero but what about anti-villain? Does it have the same meaning? And what makes them different from our typical hero and villain in movies or books? Well, luckily we’ll dive into all of those questions in this article. So stay tuned until the end!
Let’s start with an anti-hero. Based on sonara.id, an anti-hero is a hero who has values that are inversely proportional to what is commonly expected from a typical hero. Even though both the hero and anti-hero do good things, the difference is that anti-hero has morals that deviate from the “normal” hero. Simply, anti-hero does good and uphold justice but they won’t hesitate to kill their enemies to achieve their goals. Some people said that anti-hero tends to be more “interesting” than their usual protagonist. Because those characters usually have more personality rather than bland. Some popular anti-hero characters that may P–assengers know are Wolverine, Punisher, Deadpool, Jack Sparrow, and many others.
The next topic is anti-villain. It is not the same as an anti-hero, right? Contradictory to anti-hero, according to tvtropes.org, anti-villain is a character with heroic goals and traits but they’re the villain. Their desired ends are mostly good, but their means of getting there range from evil to undesirable. Usually, the anti-villain has a good goal but the way to achieve it is wrong. Or sometimes anti-villain is a character who doesn’t have any choice so they were forced to do a lot of bad things even though they don’t want to. Do you guys know any anti-hero characters? Some of them are Thanos, Draco Malfoy, Killmonger, Magneto, Pain, etc.
In conclusion, an anti-hero is a heroic character without the conventional typical “hero” traits and charms. While anti-villain is a villain with some heroic goals and redeeming features.
What do you think about today’s article, P-assengers? Which one do you like the most? Anti-hero or anti-villain? Well, whichever it is, we can all agree that both of these types of characters are very interesting. Since they’re usually not bland and have more “spice” in their characters. That’s all for today and have a great day, P-assengers!
