Yup, just like in the title in this article we will discuss veganism. Veganism is usually associated with the habit of not eating meat, similar to vegetarianism. Veganism is a way of living that attempts to exclude all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty, be it from food, clothing, or any other purpose. So basically it is not a habit, more like some kind of lifestyle. There are a lot of reasons for people to become vegan. Some of them strongly believe that all creatures have the right to life and freedom so they don’t want to exploit animals because there is another alternative for them. Such as vegetable nutrition. Another reason is because of the potential health effects. For instance, plant-based diets can reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer, etc. last but not least is the environment. People may become vegans to reduce the environmental impact of animal agriculture. In summary, there are mainly three reasons for people to become vegans. But all of them have something in common where they avoid all forms of animal exploitation.

From what has been explained previously, P-assengers must be aware of the similarities between veganism and vegetarianism, right? Simply, both of them don’t consume meat or fish but veganism is much more strict than vegetarianism. While veganism doesn’t consume meat or fish nor uses any form of animal exploitation, vegetarianism may eat dairy products, eggs, honey, and other products that don’t involve any slaughter of animals. but actually, some vegetarians choose to eat eggs but not dairy products or vice versa. All of it in accordance with their vegetarian diet.

So what do you guys think about veganism? Do you think it’s necessary to become a vegan? Or do you think it’s not healthy and could cause a dangerous effect on your body? Well, we hope this article could expand your knowledge and let’s meet in another PIDAS weekly article. Stay safe and healthy, P-assengers!
